This has to be the first thing I learned to cook. I cannot recall a time the smell of this little gem being in our house at some time in any given week. While my friends at school were having hotdogs we were having these. Truly the best thing on a bun. The seasonings of the Italian sausage and the deep robust flavors of green peppers fried to perfection gave the one and only perfect single bite of yumminess. The mix of flavor in this is just short of amazing and OH sooo simple to make.
This is not a little dinner salad to go along with a meal – THIS IS THE MEAL!! I absolutely LOVE this salad and I am sure you will to. This has everything you want in a supper salad from the lettuce, fresh avocado slices, kalamata olives, ripe tomatoes, yellow bell peppers, red and green onion and of course cheeses. The winner of this dish is the seasoned chicken that tops it off and you have a dinner salad you will want to make over and over again.
This is a standard relish on our table during the holidays, football game parties or any time you want to spruce up that fresh olive or cheese platter. The flavors of fresh tomatoes and mild onions mixed with the perfect Italian seasonings and oil make this disappear within moments of it being on the table.
When you think of garlic bread you think of something warm and inviting. Not to many people hate garlic bread and it is considered the most served appetizer with and without cheese. I do not mean to toot my own horn on things but this recipe,,, TOOT !!! TOOT!!! I am not kidding once you make this and how simple it is you will never want another garlic bread again.
Homemade Thick Cut Bread for Garlic Bread and Toasting
When I came up with this recipe it was the best day on earth and I am not kidding!! This bread has all the character you want in the thick cutting bread. Crusty exterior, with a denseness that is not dry but perfectly soft to absorb butter and hold up to the challenge without getting gooey. The wholesomeness of this bread is perfect and the taste is amazing.
